The most beloved songs accompany us for years, yet we do not always stop to truly listen to the words. In this performance, we will set out on a journey through the texts written by the greatest Hebrew poets and songwriters, and discover the stories, images, and ideas hidden behind the familiar songs.
Through a combination of musical performances, readings, and accessible literary analysis, we will reveal how the meeting of poetry and melody gives the words new life, and how understanding the text deepens the musical experience and allows us to listen to the songs as though hearing them for the first time.
