Category

The Building Bridges exhibition at the Schwartz Reisman Gallery is a collaboration between painter and sculptor Ian Leventhal and textile artist Melanie Siegel. Bringing together their unique perspectives and experiences, this project offers a compelling exploration of unity and cultural exchange.

Ian’s extensive travels through Italy and Melanie’s residency in Venice’s Jewish Ghetto serve as rich sources of inspiration for the artwork. By focusing on the architecture of bridges, the historic Jewish Ghetto, and the vibrant colors of Italy, the exhibition creates a visually striking and thematically layered experience. It will highlight the deep historical and cultural significance of the Jewish community in Italy, emphasizing connection, resilience, and shared heritage.
