Join author Leah Koenig in celebrating her latest cookbook, “Portico: Cooking and Feasting in Rome’s Jewish Kitchen.” Experience her engaging narrative, expert techniques, and a delectable fusion of tradition and innovation in a delicious tasting event that celebrates diverse cuisines.

A cooking demonstration by Leah and light refreshments inspired by Portico’s recipes will be served.

The event will be moderated by Rose Reisman, an award-winning entrepreneur, caterer, author and media personality. As a registered nutritional consultant and certified personal trainer armed with an MBA, Rose has taken her passion for healthy living and developed it into a multi-faceted enterprise making her one of Canada’s leading authorities on the art of eating and living well. With decades of industry experience, countless media appearances and over 22 cookbooks to her name, Rose is affectionately known as Canada’s Cookbook Queen.

Leah Koenig – Bio

Leah Koenig is the author of seven cookbooks including the acclaimed The Jewish Cookbook and Modern Jewish Cooking. Her newest cookbook, PORTICO: Cooking and Feasting in Rome’s Jewish Kitchen is now available wherever books are sold.

Leah’s writing and recipes can be found in The New York Times, New York Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Food & Wine, Epicurious, and Food52, among other publications. She also writes a weekly newsletter, The Jewish Table, which shares recipes and stories from the world of Jewish food.

In addition to writing, Leah leads cooking demonstrations and workshops around the country and world. She lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband and two children.
