On Tuesday December 17, 2pm ET, Ashkenaz is pleased to partner with Krakow’s FestivALT to present the premiere screening of a new mini-documentary featuring renowned Polish trumpeter Mikołaj Trzaska.

In this deeply personal and universal story about identity, creativity, and resilience, Trzaska delves into the struggles of carrying the weight of Jewish heritage, the fear of confronting history, and the journey to transform trauma into light through art. The film is part of a three-part online series by Canadian-born, Poland-based theatre professional Michael Rubenfeld that profiles prominent Polish artists with Jewish roots and explores the complexities of Polish-Jewish relationships.

The screening is followed by real-time virtual discussion with panelists and audience participants. The program will be presented FREE on Zoom, click here to register and here to follow the event on Facebook.
