Last year, Jewish Music Week presented the debut concert of new musical sensation, Schmaltz & Pepper. After a year blazing a trail in the world of Jewish music, Schmaltz & Pepper is now back to celebrate the launch of their first album! It’s a lot more than klezmer and Yiddish swing as you know it. This is what happens with phenomenal, world-class musicians come together!

With the extraordinary talents of

Eric Abramovitz, principal clarinetist of the Toronto Symphony;

Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist and arranger, Drew Jurecka;

Virtuosic violinist, vocalist and composer, Rebekah Wolkstein, founder and leader of the acclaimed Payadora Tango Ensemble;

JUNO Award-nominated bassist, Michael Herring;

And JUNO Award-winning pianist, Jeremy Ledbetter.

With their combined talents and experience in countless musical genres, these stellar musicians are redefining the traditional boundaries of Jewish music, blending classical mastery with innovative, soulful arrangements.
