Michael Winograd & the Honorable Mentshn celebrate the release of their newest album “Early Bird Special,” with their debut performance at the Toronto Jazz Festival, co-presneted with Ashkenaz. Described by one wag as the “Lebron James of Klezmer” Winograd is one of the leading klezmer musicians of his generation. Fresh off two years of sitting around the house and thinking about what it would be like to play live shows again, your favorite Brooklyn Klezmer band is thrilled to be out and about, hitting the road with new records in hand. Clarinetist Michael Winograd is joined by trombonist Daniel Blacksberg, accordionist Will Holshouser, pianist Carmen Staaf, bassist Zoe Guigueno and from New Jersey, drummer David Licht.
