The Toronto Holocaust Museum is proud to offer specially designed resources to assist educators in teaching about the complex history of the Holocaust.
In partnership with Hillel Ontario, Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus, and the Toronto Jewish Film Foundation, join the Toronto Holocaust Museum to observe Tisha B’Av, the Jewish day of sorrow.
The day will feature a special screening of the film My Name is Sara, which details the true story of a young Jewish girl hiding with an Orthodox Christian family in German-occupied Ukraine during the Holocaust.
Tisha B’Av marks the day of the destruction of the two ancient temples in Jerusalem, with the fast on the ninth of Av observed by many to mourn historical Jewish tragedies, including the Holocaust.
Visit the Museum throughout this day of fasting and mourning to engage with the history of the Holocaust and the loss of Jewish communities, culture, and life.
