An homage to the great European Yiddish cafés and coffeehouses, this in-person event will feature a Yiddish concert performed by Theresa Tova – Canada’s reigning diva of Yiddish song – and award-winning musician David Warrack.

 

Join us in the Al Green Theatre for an afternoon of music and Mameloshn! An homage to the great European Yiddish cafés and coffeehouses, this in-person event will feature a Yiddish concert performed by Theresa Tova – Canada’s reigning diva of Yiddish song – and award-winning musician David Warrack. Enjoy Second Avenue, Broadway and Great American Songbook classics, jazzy Yiddish standards, and… a few surprises!

We will also have a Yiddish open-mic portion, for those wishing to read poetry, prose or perform an a capella song. Sweet kosher treats will be served.
