On April 19, 1943, the Nazis began the final act of clearing the Warsaw Ghetto of its Jewish residents. Much to their surprise, the Jews fought back. This event will tell the stories of those who heroically resisted the Holocaust.

Join special guest Dr. Zachary Mazur as he draws upon never before seen sources and images of the civilian experience in bunkers and hideouts during the Uprising.

The program will be moderated by Dara Solomon, Executive Director of the UJA’S Holocaust Education Centre, soon to be the Toronto Holocaust Museum.

In partnership with UJA’s Holocaust Education Centre.

Zachary Mazur received his PhD from Yale University in 2019 and is currently a Senior Historian at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw
