Comprehensive Yiddish Language Classes

Learn, refresh, and improve your speaking, reading, and writing language skills with experienced instructors in a fun and stimulating learning environment.

Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Yiddish Language Levels

Theatre Workshop – “Der Dybbuk”

Theatrical workshop facilitated by award-winning performer, director, and playwright, David Gale. This year, students will work with “Der Dybbuk”, adapted by Miriam Hoffman. All are welcome! Scripts are provided in transliteration, and no previous Yiddish or performance experience is required.

Special Interest Yiddish Classes at Miles Nadal JCC

Beginner Conversation II

Practice and expand your basic Yiddish conversational skills while engaging with the rich world of Yiddish culture. All materials are provided in transliteration.

Prerequisites: “Conversational Yiddish for Beginners” or equivalent basic knowledge.

10 Classes | Cost: $250 plus HST

Yiddish Women Writers

In this high intermediate-level course, we will read and discuss selections of poetry and short stories by key Yiddish women writers. Conducted largely in Yiddish, with some discussion in English.
