Join us on the Israeli choir, ShiRonto!. Kobi Hass, ShiRonto’s Musical Director, welcomes all lovers of Israeli music to the choir. Each session will include a warmup, a live choir rehearsal session, Q&A, and a short social gathering at the end of the session. The repertoire will include famous Israeli songs that we all know and love. At the end of each song Kobi Hass, our musical director, will create a choir video. Something to look forward to!

אוהבי הזמר הישראלי, הנכם מוזמנים להצטרף למפגשי החורף של מקהלת שירונטו, מקהלת הבית הישראלית של מרכז שוורץ רייזמן. סמסטר החורף יכלול שישה מפגשים וירטואליים שייערכו בזום ויכללו חימום, שיעור מקהלה שבו נלמד את השירים, זמן לשאלות ומפגש חברתי קצר בסיום המפגש. השיעורים יוקלטו יהיו נגישים למשתתפים לאחר המפגשים. רפטואר השירים יכלול שירים ישראלים מוכרים ואהובים. בסיום לימוד כל שיר קובי הס, המנהל המוסיקלי של המקהלה, יפיק סרטון קצר של כל חברי המקהלה שרים את השיר יחד. יש למה לצפות!


About the Director

Kobi (Jaacov) Hass, is a bass player (upright and electric), choir conductor and a music teacher. Prior to his relocation to Toronto in 2010, Kobi performed in Israel with well-known singers and groups. In addition, Kobi headed the music department of a prominent high school for the arts and science and taught in a music college. Since moving to Toronto Kobi plays in different jazz groups, works with choirs and lectures about music and philosophy in different institutions.
