Building Bridges at the Schwartz Reisman Gallery is a profound artistic collaboration between Ian Leventhal and Melanie Siegel.

Type of Exhibition: Art

Building Bridges at the Schwartz Reisman Gallery is a profound artistic collaboration between Ian Leventhal and Melanie Siegel. Drawing from their distinct yet complementary experiences, the exhibition explores themes of unity, cultural exchange, and shared heritage. Inspired by Ian’s extensive travels throughout Italy and Melanie’s recent residency in Venice’s historic Jewish Ghetto, the artists merge personal narrative with broader historical context. Central to their work is the architecture of bridges—both literal and metaphorical—which serves as a powerful symbol of connection and resilience.

By focusing on the architecture of bridges, the historic Jewish Ghetto, and the vibrant colors of Italy, this exhibition creates a visually striking and thematically layered experience. The exhibition presented also highlight the deep historical and cultural significance of these spaces within the Jewish community, emphasizing connection, resilience, and shared heritage.
