Job description: Working collaboratively with the General Director, other members of the leadership team and staff, visiting curators and artistic and technical personnel, the Gallery and Production Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and implementing and/or overseeing all of the material aspects of Koffler Arts’ wide range of activities and events. 

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: 

Oversee the production elements of all exhibitions including but not restricted to:
– Be responsible for and, if necessary, hire and oversee additional technicians for the preparation, installation and de-installation of exhibitions on-site, alongside artists and curators 
– Prepare and track exhibition budgets 
– Arrange domestic and international transportation and insurance, for artworks and artists 
– Coordinate all material aspects of exhibitions, including all technical and technological aspects 
 

Oversee the production elements of all performing arts events
– Prepare and track production budgets
– Secure venues and verify all technical requirements and conditions
– Coordinate with production or co-production teams on all aspects of installation and deinstallation of productions 
– Participate in programming ideas and initiatives 
 

Coordinate use of Koffler Arts spaces 
– Maintain the calendar for space usage in each of the Koffler Arts’ venues, including helping to coordinate balance between exhibitions, artistic residencies, performance events, community access, public rental, etc. 
– Provide the necessary logistical support for the ensemble of these activities 
– Identify possible revenue-generating rental periods for various venues and actively seek potential users for these periods 
 

Provide material support for all Koffler Arts in-house events 
– Provide any and all material support for a large variety of artistic engagement events including technical and/or technological needs, set-up and clean-up 
– Provide material support for any other activities or needs at Koffler Arts, including but not limited to exhibition vernissages, literary or speaker events, Board and/or other meeting set-up, gallery maintenance, signage, and any other material requirements of the organisation.
