Introducing all 8 episodes of Sovietzka, the latest binge-worthy Israeli TV comedy series.
Sovietzka centres around the Goldenbergs, a family of repatriates from Azerbaijan. Between financial struggles and the xenophobia they experience in their day-to-day lives, they start to undergo a collective identity crisis. When the youngest daughter posts a video that accidentally goes viral on social media, she inadvertently becomes a role model for Russian-speaking young adults across the country, further destabilizing her family.
Writer Dana Abramovich has created one of the smartest character-oriented tv shows to come out of Israel in a long time. Sovietzka boasts a brilliant cast that includes Susanna Papian (The Monkey House), Evgenia Dodina (Killing Eve), and Lena Fraifeld (Valeria Is Getting Married).
