“We rejoice in freedom at the Sedar and Relish the Season at Shavuot.”

Join us for an engaging conversation and cooking demonstration to celebrate the spring harvest of Shavuot, which also marks the receiving of the Torah from G-d.

Naama Shefi takes the stage with friend Eden Grinshpan to present her new cookbook, “The Jewish Holiday Table.”

“Each holiday offers an opportunity to find personal meaning in an ancient tradition that is always evolving. And at their core is time to spend around a table with the people we love most.”

Collected by the Jewish Food Society, an organization dedicated to preserving Jewish cuisine around the world, the 135 recipes and accompanying stories in The Jewish Holiday Table are a dazzling expression of all the ways we celebrate through what we bring to the table.

Naama Shefi is a kibbutznik and New Yorker, whose work sits at the intersection of food, culture, community building, and art. In 2017, she founded the Jewish Food Society, a non-profit organization, which preserves and celebrates Jewish culinary heritage through a digital recipe archive and dynamic events. In the summer of 2021, she launched Asif: Culinary Institute of Israel, a center in Tel Aviv dedicated to exploring the diverse and creative food culture of Israel. She lives on the Lower East Side with her husband Ilan and their daughter Ella

Eden Grinshpan is a chef, author of Eating Out Loud, and a television food personality known for her relatability, theatrics, raw sincerity and goofiness. She is the creator of Eden Eats where she shares recipes and candid moments of her life, family, and kitchen antics. Eden earned her culinary degree at Le Cordon Bleu in London and subsequently traveled and ate her way across Europe, India, Southeast Asia, and of course Israel, from which her family hails. At 27, Eden was featured in Forbes 30 under 30 list after she conceptualized, produced, and hosted Eden Eats, her first culinary travel show for the Cooking Channel. She then went on to host and judge a multitude of television shows, including Log On and Eat with Eden Grinshpan and Top Chef Canada.
