The Koffler Centre of the Arts is pleased to announce that submissions for the 2024 Vine National  Canadian Jewish Book Awards are now open!

The Vine National Canadian Jewish Book Awards are given each year to celebrate the best in Canadian Jewish literature. The Koffler Centre of the Arts is pleased to announce the addition of a new category to the Awards in 2024: Humour. This will be a bi-annual award alternating with the bi-annual Poetry Award. Koffler Arts General Director Matthew Jocelyn says “adding a Humour Awards is a long overdue recognition of an essential aspect of the Jewish oral and literary tradition.”

A $10,000 prize will be given to each winner in the categories of Fiction, History, Non-Fiction, Humour, and Young Adult/Children’s Literature for books published in the 2023 calendar year. (Humour books published in 2022 and 2023 will be accepted.)
