This workshop invites participants to explore their experiences and perceptions of modern-day challenges such as pandemics, societal upheavals, and environmental crises.
Join us as we celebrate and honor the opening of Dwelling in a Time of Plagues. The program will feature short talks by the following participating artists and authors: Julie Weitz, Tal Beery, Olivia Guterson, Mike Wirth, Hillel Smith, Maya Ciarrocchi, Bareket Kezwer, Rebecca Soffer, Moriel Rothman-Zecher, and Sarah Blake.
Dwelling in a Time of Plagues is a Jewish creative response to real-world plagues of our time. Collectively, the commissions in this constellation of art projects around North America grapple with contemporary crises: the global pandemic, institutional racism, xenophobia, ageism, forced isolation, and the climate crisis.
