Introduction to Playwriting is a free, two-hour online workshop for anyone curious about writing for the stage.

Category

Learn the basics of writing for the stage and connect with a community of Canadian writers in this free introductory virtual course. Playwright and theatre creator Julie Tepperman will explore some playwriting fundamentals as she guides participants through a series of exercises that will ignite creativity and offer strategies for generating material – both dialogue and monologue. Participants will work independently in this shared zoom space, and will have the option to share snippets of writing with the larger group as we move through each exercise. (Sharing is not mandatory!)

Please register by April 15. The workshop will take place on zoom.

In partnership with Koffler Arts and the Harold Green Jewish Theatre. Generously supported by UJA’s Kultura Collective.
