About the Film:

The Killing Roads offers a gripping examination of the October 7, 2023, terrorist attacks along Israel’s Route 232 and Highway 34, where over 250 people lost their lives in coordinated assaults by Hamas and other Palestinian terrorists. Moving beyond the stories of the kibbutzim and the Nova music festival, the film captures the raw emotion, courage, and resilience of survivors, first responders, and bereaved families directly impacted by the carnage.

Through searing eyewitness testimony and firsthand interviews, The Killing Roads transports viewers to these roads, retracing the early-morning steps of gunmen who wrought devastation upon southern Israel’s highways. With a deeply respectful lens, it memorializes the lives lost and honors the bravery of those who faced unimaginable horror, telling a story of survival and remembrance along a journey paved with tragedy.

Igal Hecht is a filmmaker and founder of Chutzpa Productions, a company known for creating bold, thought-provoking films that address everything from critical human rights issues to pop culture. With over two decades in the industry, Hecht has produced more than 70 documentaries and 20 television series, many of which have been featured on prominent platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, BBC, and Vice TV, reaching international audiences.
