Women+ Celebrating Jewish Women in the Community’s History

A two-part collaborative project with the OJA and Baycrest honouring Jewish women and their vital contributions to our community.

Type of Exhibition: Heritage, History, Toronto

The Ontario Jewish Archives is pleased to partner with Baycrest’s Department of Culture & Arts to host a reimagining of the OJA’s exhibition Women+ at the Ronald and Nancy Kalifer Culture Hub at Baycrest.

This exhibition is the first installation of a two-part collaborative project with Baycrest honouring Jewish women and their vital contributions to our community.  Through the lens of themes such as labour, the home, religious observance, sports, arts, and the war effort, the Women + photography exhibition highlights women’s diverse contributions to Jewish life and celebrates their power, agency, and legacy.
